Retrospective: Concrete Prints for Nature – first edition a success!

On June 12, 2025, the very first edition of Concrete Prints for Nature took place—a day full of inspiration!
The morning began with two enlightening knowledge sessions. Neolithic guided participants into the world of 3D printing, showcasing its rapid evolution with a focus on sustainability and bespoke solutions in construction.
Following this, Dura Vermeer shared insights into their remarkable project at Jacob Catskade in Amsterdam, where 3D-printed fish hotels contribute to urban biodiversity restoration. A splendid example of technology and ecology working hand in hand.
After the sessions, attendees enjoyed a tour of the MAAK site in Haarlem, highlighted by a live demonstration of 3D printing in action.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in interactive sessions in small groups. Together, we explored opportunities for new applications, collaborations, and ideas at the intersection of building and nature. The day concluded with an informal networking session—a perfect moment for discussions, networking, and forging new connections.
This inaugural edition leaves us eager for more! Many thanks to all participants, speakers, and partners for your energy, insights, and engagement.
